In order to offer optimum
closure of this gap, OKW now offers
a new OKW Enclosures, Inc. - Datec-Terminal Case plastic plug-in front cover.
This offers space, protection and
easy access from the front for
interfaces, e.g. PCMCIA cards,
memory cards, sensing and
measuring probes.
Six sizes are available with
diameters of datec terminal 16 to 50 mm for 4 mm,
6 mm, 8 mm
and 1/4" boreholes
(depending on the knob size).
The
covers with finger recess for the knobs with Ø 40 and 50 mm offer rational handling during adjustment. Further information: Digit 006 or online* represent
an optimum solution. Tool production for all versions is in full swing. The first samples datec terminal of the closed version without battery compartment
and without cable
strain relief will be available as of
middle/end of
July 2001. The other
versions will follow in
October 2001.

new family of COM-KNOBS with
collet fixture, which was presented
last autumn. For universal applications
these modern
tuning knobs are
now available without datec terminal the "pointer".
The knobs consist of a basic unit
including collet and a cover, the
latter being available in 5 different
colours.

MEDITEC Sizes E / D
An add-on battery compartment for
3 x 1.5 V AA batteries (IEC LR6 1.5V)
is now available for the power supply
of the DATEC CONTROL XS.
This battery compartment is secured
without screws. After the upper and
lower parts of the case have been
mounted, it is held automatically. To
ensure proper battery contact, a
matching battery clip set is available.

New front panels made of
PMMA for shell-type case
The red transparent PVC front
panels that were supplied as
accessories are no longer available.
The manufacturer has discontinued
production of PVC sheeting. As an
alternative, front panels made of
PMMA are available.

Colour change
For reasons of uniformity and
appearance, the colour off-white for
polystyrene parts is being adapted to
ABS off-white, RAL 9002. In the past
the polystyrene had too high a green
component, so that slight
differences in colour could be seen.
